About the Author
ANNA McGARRIGLE was one half of the acclaimed, award-winning folk music duo Kate and Anna McGarrigle. She continues to write music and perform. She is also a visual artist and makes short videos. JANE McGARRIGLE managed her younger sisters' music careers from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s. During this time she co-wrote several songs with the duo and performed with them in the studio and on tours of Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.

A little overly detailed in places (like I really don’t care to know about what wallpaper they selected for their kitchen), but it was interesting to hear the stories behind the songs. Jane and Anna trade back and forth writing which also makes it a little disjointed as you have to keep checking on who’s talking at any given point.

arrived promptly in good condition for very reasonable price. have not read book yet. i would think fans of the mcgarrigles would be interested in this. covers early years of their lives up to 3rd warners lp.

I have enjoyed Anna and Kate's music and have been interested in their very talented family connection through the generations - This book takes you right back to early beginnings and gives insight into their day to day lives. Janie and Anna have kept it real, funny and interesting for their readers. Thank you for sharing!
